"Cabbie" was a cab driver in the Manhattan Island maximum security prison. He assisted S.D. "Snake" Plissken in his mission to rescue President John Harker.
Biography[]
Cabbie began his career as a cab driver around 1967.
In 1997, Cabbie first encountered Snake at an opera house, then later rescued him from a group of crazies, using a molotov cocktail. Snake placed a gun to Cabbie's head and asked where the President was, prompting Cabbie to inform him that "The Duke of New York" had him.
He drove Snake to Harold "Brain" Hellman and Maggie to assist with getting Snake to the President. Outside, when the Duke showed up with his entourage, Cabbie fled from the area and later traded his hat to Romero for a tape being carried by the President.
After Brain and Maggie rescued the President and reunited with Snake, Cabbie picked them up and Snake drove them to the 69th Street bridge. However, Snake accidentally hit a mine, splitting the cab into two and killing Cabbie.
